After Repairs

"How soon can I wax my vehicle after it has been refinished?"

It is recommended to wait 6 weeks to give plenty of time for solvents to evaporate. If the fresh paint is waxed too soon, the wax will trap solvents into the paint and cause blistering and bubbling.

It is also recommended not to cover the vehicle with a car cover or bra for at least 6 weeks

"How soon can I wash my vehicle?"

As long as it is by hand, you may wash as soon as the next day. We recommend that you DO NOT use commercial car washes for at least 6 weeks after paint repairs, if ever. The commercial car washes have a tendency to scratch paint, catch moldings and edges that cause serious damage to your vehicle.

"What should I do to take care of my new paint?"

It is good to keep the fresh paint as clean as possible. Use a chamois (chammy) or towel to dry after wash to prevent water from spotting the new paint.

It is recommended to wax your fresh paint after 6 weeks. Then hand wax the complete vehicle approximately every 6 months to protect from oxidation.

"How soon can I have a spray liner applied?"

You can have a spray -in bed liner applied to your new paint as soon as one week
